Yellow-eyed Penguin Trust benefits from NZ Funds Management initiative

New Zealand employee-owned wealth management firm and KiwiSaver provider, NZ Funds Management, has launched an initiative in conjunction with the Yellow-eyed Penguin Trust to lower its paper wastage and help save the Yellow-eyed Penguin. Through this initiative NZ Funds Management has been making a $5 donation to the Trust for every NZ Funds Management client who opts to receive their communications by email.

So far over 1,400 of their clients have opted for electronic communications, which will substantially reduce the amount of printed material posted annually. As a result, in May NZ Funds Management made a donation of over $7,000 to the Yellow-eyed Penguin Trust.

NZ Funds Management CEO, Richard James, says that NZ Funds Management is appreciative of being able to help out the Trust in this unique way.

“This is an opportunity for us as an organisation to lower our carbon footprint by reducing the large amount of material that we mail out each year. The opportunity for clients who invest with us to help the Yellow-eyed Penguin by giving a $5 donation to the Yellow-eyed Penguin Trust has been very well received by clients and their financial advisers.
