Chorus line at Okia Reserve
An old, unused fence on the northern part of Okia Reserve has been removed. Four staff from Chorus (New Zealand’s largest telecommunications utility company) volunteered their services on Tuesday 3 July to clear the way for the erection of a new fence.
The volunteers dug out fence posts and rolled up the wire. They then cut a new fence line along the legally surveyed route, which now takes in a corner of Taiaroa Bush.
Fortunate not to encounter any large trees in the way, the team did have to contend with stinging nettle! But, undaunted, they completed the task.
