    The Trust provides information to the public on penguin conservation, and advocates for its ongoing protection.

    Advocacy

    Informal

    • Involvement with schools, groups and school holiday programmes

    Formal

    • Presentation of submissions to both national and local Government
    • Monitoring of resource consents, national and regional plans
    • Involved with Conservation Services Levy (Fisheries)
    • Part of the wider Yellow-eyed Penguin Consultative Group and the Yellow-eyed Penguin Recovery Group – both administered by Department of Conservation and open to all involved with yellow-eyed penguins,  including the tour operator, scientists, landowners, and conservationists amongst others.
